Want to play rugby?... You’ve come to the right place.

It’s really simple and you don’t even need any equipment, just a willingness to get a little muddy and have a go.

Firstly, get in touch with us. You can do this by:

1. Having a look at our coaches contact details and and contacting your child’s age grade coach
2. Dropping us an email at grufcmj@gmail.com or;
3. Turn up to the age grade training session found on the button below.

Clothing & Equipment

To start all you need is sporty clothes you don’t mind getting muddy and some studded boots. From U9 upwards you’ll also need a gum shield/mouth guard. If you’re unsure ask your coach.

We have a boot swap at the club where you can take boots that fit you or donate boots that you’ve grown out of. This really helps everyone take part. Or if you’re trying it out you can use them for the session.

Game Management System (GMS)

Everyone who plays rugby should be registered on GMS, this allows the RFU to allocate funds and see how many people of varying age grades play. It also influences how many international game tickets we get allocated as a club!

Select ‘create new account’ and register yourself as parent first selecting Glossop RFC as the club. Once you are registered log in and add your child(ren) under the ‘add friends and family’ option on the left hand side.

Children should be reregistered each year.

Please click this link to set up your direct debit. To spread to cost of the yearly membership fees they are divided into 12 monthly payments across the year, even when we’re not training in summer. The monthly cost for 1 Mini or junior player is £13.50 (tots & U6 are £7.00)
