Membership at Glossop RUFC

First and foremost Glossop RUFC is, and has always been, a members club. Most people think of membership at the club is just for playing rugby.
However, social membership exists for many reasons, but mainly to contribute to and support the future of this great family club and ensure that facilities are maintained and upgraded as needed.
It costs such a lot to keep a club like this ticking over even when no one is actually inside the club and no matches are being played. Heating, lighting, ground maintenance, cleaning, printing, painting, rates, kit costs, payment of wages to employed staff, etc etc to name but a few of the items.
Social events and fundraising functions help to create the additional cash needed to provide the extra bits that can make the difference, but the day to day costs still need to be covered each and every day of the year.
GRUFC proudly have 4 Senior teams, Colts and a range of Mini & Junior teams from ages 3 to 16, playing and training each week. This club has a long history of being a family orientated, community club and offers playing and social memberships across all levels.

The GRUFC General Committee are increasing the membership fees across the board for the start of the 2023/24 season, after a number of years with no increase and significant increases in the utilities and running costs of the club. This was agreed and voted in by the members at the recent Annual General Meeting. There is no need to cancel your Direct Debit and this will be done automatically on 1st September 2023.
