The Amazones have welcomed 8 new players this season with 6 of them signed on and playing as apart of our game day squad. They have settled in well and have taken on the advise from coaches and experienced players well.
The ladies have only had 4 games this side of Christmas with oppositions looking to reschedule matches due to low numbers, however we have taken a W, D and 2 L keeping us at the middle of the table.
We would like to thank our sponsors for game days as we have a full sponsorship for all our kit including match balls. Match Shirts - Bun & Dusted, Match Shorts - Matteos Catering, Warm Up Kit - Debt Recovery Plus, Kit Bags - Clarc Recruitment Ltd and Match Ball Beech Sports Consultancy Ltd.
We have seen some change in the senior structure of the ladies team with Katie Quinlan stepping down as Chair and Lucy Williams stepping up with Laura Edwards as her Vice Chair. We want to thank the commitment and dedication Katie has shown over the years as without her the Amazones would certainly not have the support they do now. We look forward to Lucy taking things forward and growing on what has already been created.
We sadly have also said goodbye to our head coach Kerry Hazeldine as she has accepted a job abroad in Denmark, we wish her all the best in her new role and thank her for taking the team on at the start of the season.
We are now on the look out for a new head coach and coaching team so if you or anyone you know are interested do please get in touch.
This season we have tried to grow our connections with the junior girls teams where some of the Amazones have joined the U14&16's Girls for training sessions and support them at their games at the Northern Girls Network days. As a team we are hoping to support them further with joint training sessions and helping the junior coaches with their sessions along with supporting any events put on.
